End of Year Update
December 2022
Minister's Reflection
Reflecting over the last couple of months, summer seems so far away and now the autumn leaves litter our streets and the wind is slightly more chilly, drawing us closer to the winter season. We continue our Sunday sermons with our study of the godly characters we find in scripture and, at the conclusion of the year, with teaching on the members of the Holy family.
December is a busy and exciting time as we lead into the celebrations for Christmas. During the month of November we were all very busy providing and delivering an exciting new Families Project, and our Clothes Bank has really expanded through the generosity and support of many friends of the Tab. We have also been humbled by the opportunity to teach and support 14 beautiful members into Believer’s Baptism, which happened on November 27th. We are now in the throes of our Christmas events, including a Carols by Candlelight service on the 11th - featuring our Community Christmas Choir - and a Tab Family Christmas Meal on the 14th.

Street Pastors Update
Street Pastors are teams of Christians from local churches who show God’s love on the streets of Tower Hamlets in words and in actions.
In recent months our Street Pastors outreaches expanded to both Friday and Saturdays. A huge thank you to our brothers and sisters from Iran, without whom it would not have been possible to add these additional patrols. Several new people completed Street Pastor training, and several existing Street Pastors became seniors, beginning to lead patrols. Finally, we’ve seen an influx of volunteers from a wonderful nearby church called Liberty church.
If you’d like to find out more about what we do, you might like to volunteer as an observer on one of the patrols. Contact Iain for more information.
Points for Prayer
Grateful
Let’s thank God together for a wonderful start to the Families Project and the Christmas choir, and for the growth we’ve seen in Street Pastors.
Advent
Let’s pray for the local community to really engage with Christ over the Christmas season. Lord, please help the Tab to represent well the hope that you offer the world in Jesus this Christmas.
