We have a rich history here and have recently birthed TransformUK, which will have a local focus through TransformShoreditch as well as national focus through other UK projects and an international focus with TransformCoffee.
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” (Luke 4:18-19)
TransformShoreditch was established in 2016 to partner with TransformUK in delivering our mission to demonstrate God’s love to those who are in need. We work with the whole community but focus on projects specific to those who are homeless or vulnerably housed, young people facing barriers to their education and those who are elderly and isolated.
TransformUK aims to bring transformational love to the poorest parts of the UK. We run a range of services and projects to bring about individual and community change.
Together we believe love can transform every individual and the communities they are in, no matter what circumstances and challenges they face. We deliver a range of youth and community projects, education programmes and a range of social enterprises – check out our own brand of coffee promoted by Anthony Joshua!

Creative Cook School
The aim is to teach young people cooking skills whilst preparing a hot meal for the eldery. This not only devlops pracitcal cooking skills but also teaches about taking responsibility and caring for others. This not only benefits the elderly but creates an opportunity for the young people to feel a sense of reward and purpose. Many of the young people that attend this programme are carefully selected by the school and generally have issues engaging with general school life and so this programme provides an atmosphere where they can learn and build confidence.

Chill & Chat
Our weekly social club for those who may not normally have lots of company or even be able to access a freshly prepared hot meal and a range of games and activities sees around 20 local people, mostly Over 50 although not exclusively, come together to sing, chat, play bingo and take part in creative activities.
Our weekly Youth Club is often the noisiest night of the week!
Our whole Tab Centre is taken over by around 30 local young people aged 5-17yrs old who take part in music sessions, therapeutic groups, cooking, life skills and character education workshops. Every school holiday we run a range of additional projects and residentials.
We run a weekly drop in for those in our community who are homeless or unsecurely housed and vulnerable.
We work with Spitalfields Crypt Trust to deliver signposting support and advice and we work with a range of corporate and community volunteers to cook a hot meal which we serve them.
If you would like to refer someone to this project or give a slip to someone you know is vulnerable do tell them - Every Friday 9am-11am at Tab Centre.
We work in partnerships with secondary schools, local authorities and pupil referral units across London to deliver a range of interventions and programmes to support some of the most disadvantaged and disengaged young people.
Our on site alternative education provision focuses on using creative arts and community work to achieve qualifications. We also run a range of coaching and mentoring interventions on a 1:1 basis with students in school and specific group work programmes.
Tower Hamlets Street Pastors
The Tower Hamlets Street Pastors are a committed group of caring, trained volunteers from surrounding churches who have a heart and a concern for their local community.
We patrol the streets around Brick Lane and Shoreditch on a Friday evening between 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. to care for, listen to and help people, whether it is to give flip-flops to young ladies too drunk to walk in their high heels, or to give out warm hats, gloves or thermal blankets to those sleeping rough.
We engage in casual or more meaningful conversations with people, diffuse potentially aggressive situations, look out for people who are lost, drunk or distressed, and sometimes signpost people to appropriate help agencies.
We are part of a national network of trained Street Pastors who have a heart to help and care for people out and about on the streets at night.
If you ever come across us on patrol, please stop and say Hi. We would love to meet you.
