The Tab Sunday Service is a non-pressured environment where people from many backgrounds have found a spiritual home.
The 11.00 am Sunday Service at the Tab are an opportunity to worship in a contemporary and informal style, led by the church band which also often includes young people from the Worship Academy and you may find yourself singing along to an African chorus, joining in with a children’s song or worshipping freely to a familiar or brand new worship song.
The age range of the church is between 1 and 91 and all ages, cultures, backgrounds, families or individuals are welcome. Every week there is a talk often with a presentation or video clip introducing themes which address our lives here on the edge of the City of London.
Our Sunday morning services include talks applying biblical principals to our daily lives, we are a church grounded in scripture and in seeking to apply it’s relevance to our everyday lives, work, families, relationships and we are committed to seeking God’s will in our daily walk.
We have several gifted preachers who share their insights with the church on a Sunday morning and who attempt to communicate in a way that is easy to understand, accessible and often humorous. We expand on these talks with more discussion in depth on a Tuesday night in smaller group settings.
The talks are geared towards being easily understood, communicated and often accompanied with a lot of laughter and fun as we learn from God’s word to live life as Christ intended.
We often take the Lord’s supper together and every week there are refreshments available to share after the service and on special occasions a bring’n’share community lunch.
We believe we are meeting in the presence of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit as we join with churches all over the world to honour Christ.
We follow a teaching program usually spanning about 4 – 8 weeks either in line with the church calendar ie Christmas, Easter, Pentecost or on relevant biblical themes relevant to our spiritual lives.
There are exciting plans ahead for the formation of a Sunday night event with an emphasis on the creative arts and announcements will follow in the Autumn. Following this it may develop into a regular service. Watch this space.
