WHAT IS ALPHA?
Alpha provides a unique opportunity for individuals to explore life’s big questions in an informal, fun and friendly environment. Whether you are an atheist or have never considered any kind of spiritual existence, Alpha is a place where you can find out more about Jesus and ask questions about Christianity in an open and friendly environment.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Each evening begins with a good home-cooked meal where you’ll be able to meet and chat with other people who’ve joined the course. We’ll then hear a short talk on a particular question relating to faith, religion, spirituality or life. It’s not meant to be treated as a lecture but more as an opportunity to provoke you into considering what you actually believe. After the talk we break into smaller groups for coffee where people are able to share their thoughts and ask those questions that may have arisen during the evening. The talks are given by a different speaker each week or we watch the Alpha DVDs. For example questions such as Who Is Jesus? What Does The Holy Spirit Do? How does God Guide us? How can I resist Evil? And Does God Heal Today? The whole aim of the course is for you to be able to ask your questions about Jesus, about Christianity, the Church.
WHEN IS THE NEXT ALPHA?
The next Alpha is due to start at the start of Autumn. Previous Alpha’s have started at 6.30pm and aimed to finish by about 9.pm. There is an opportunity to try out the course which is 10 weeks and we are very relaxed about your time commitment. We also have a day generally on a Saturday when we looks at the Holy Spirit – who he is, what he does and how to engage with him.
The whole course is free. For more information or to register your interest today contact the church office or sign up here.
